stage 03 — the method

High-End Photo Retouching Services in Los Angeles

Compositing, high-end retouching, restoration.

Retouching is the least visible stage in the method and the one most often cut. Its absence is what you actually see: a range where the whites drift between images, an archive photograph that announces its age next to a new one, a composite that reads as a composite.

questions

Do you retouch photography you did not shoot?
Yes — including archive material that has to sit alongside new work without looking restored.
How do you keep a whole range consistent?
Colour is matched across the set rather than image by image, so a catalogue reads as one shoot even when it was not.
Will it look retouched?
It should not. This is the stage you only notice when it has been skipped.
