method26 is a design studio in Silver Lake. We consult, design, photograph, and retouch under one roof, then stay with the job through print — the same people on it from the first decision to the final sheet.
Anyone can show you something that looks good.
The question is whether they can tell you why it is that colour, that paper, that crop — and then hand you ten thousand of them, made exactly that way.

- 00consultingBefore anything is made, we work out what actually needs making. Sometimes the answer is less than you came in for.
- 01graphic designIdentity, packaging, publications, and everything else with your name on it. Logos, album covers, the menu on the table.
- 02photographyPeople, product, and food, shot here. Art-directed against the brand rather than around it.
- 03retouchingCompositing, high-end retouching, restoration. The stage you only notice when it has been skipped.
- 04printCollateral, books, catalogues, large format. Printing happens at presses we have worked with for years. We spec the stock, read the proof, and approve the run, so what arrives matches what you signed off.

Sunset Boulevard, Silver Lake. Design desks at the front, the camera at the back, retouching in between — one room, one team, and no handoff between the people who conceive the work and the people who finish it.
Printing is the one stage that happens elsewhere, at presses we have worked with for years rather than whichever vendor is cheapest this month. We spec the stock, read the proof, and sign off the run. The job never changes hands. Only the address does.
